CEO & FOUNDER
Last year, I boarded a plane heading to Ireland. It was a completely new world for me. A land I had never set foot on before—an unknown territory. It felt like diving into a sea of unfamiliar culture and language. Although I had studied English in Korea for over 10 years, the knowledge I had built up was limited to grammar and test scores. I was completely unprepared for everyday conversations and the natural, smooth flow of real dialogue. There were many moments when I couldn’t express what I wanted to say, leaving me frustrated and trapped in awkward silence.
From that time on, I felt a deep need for change in my bones. Instead of taking the safe path, I chose adventure. I picked vibrant Ireland over Canada or the UK. There, I learned that English is not just a language, but a bridge that connects people.
One afternoon, while sitting in the hotel lounge sipping a drink and looking around, I saw a group of teenagers gathered around a ping-pong table, laughing and chatting. That scene lit a spark inside me.
“Couldn’t I learn English that way too?”
Like a rally in ping-pong, exchanging the ball naturally—couldn’t English be learned the same way, naturally, enjoyably, and without pressure?
At that moment, the idea of “Ping Pong English” was born.
Ping Pong English is not just a website. It is a turning point that transforms English learning from “studying” into real “communication.”
That journey left me with one profound lesson: True growth begins with the courage to break out of our familiar frames.
I would love to embark on this journey with you. Shall we start this adventure together?
